The portable Aplicom R8 security and tracking unit is made for car and personal safety applications, worker protection and stolen vehicle recovery.

A long-lasting, internal battery allows operations without the need for permanent installation. The buttons on the device provide easy status or alarm messaging and the inbuilt, large 25mm patch antenna guarantees good GPS reception.

The geofence function automatically informs about entering or leaving a defined area.

The unit is priced so as to be suitable even for the consumer mass market thus bringing system integrators a much larger number of potential service subscribers.

Aplicom R8 uses the same communication protocol as Aplicom A1 products so they offer immediate implementation for system integrators using Aplicom A1.
