Pinnacle improves operational efficiency at airports with A1

Pinnacle Plus Limited designs and delivers solutions which enable airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE) handlers to more effectively manage their equipment assets, improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The company has successfully used the A1 in airports in Australasia, the Far East and USA.

A number of customised applications have been used with the A1 including an access control system and CANbus interface. The access control system ensures that the GSE can only be used by identified drivers thus improving the security crucial at airports, addressing health and safety requirements and provides driver accountability and performance monitoring. The CANbus interface has been used by GSE Manufacturers to improve their product support in remote locations.

Aplicom starts cooperation with Trackon Telematics in India

Aplicom has started cooperation with an Indian distributor Trackon Telematics Pvt Ltd. The company has within 2 years delivered over 15 000 tracking units. Aplicom and Trackon Telematics Pvt Ltd have signed an exclusive agreement for the Indian market. The company chose Aplicom's A1 due to its high reliability, which finally results in a lower cost per unit by large scale business compared to the products used earlier.

A1's success factor: make unique solutions with easy to use device

A1 has proven its multifunctionality through the various differing customer solutions and services up and running today. The solutions using A1 are as versatile as the product itself, ranging from basic tracking and tracing to more complex solutions combining A1 with eg. digital tachographs and WinCE devices.

The time to enter the market with A1 is relatively short - our customers have been able to build the overall solution and sell it further to the end-customers in a short time frame. Although there are several companies in Europe and the Middle East who are already using A1 there is still a lot of potential unused. The possibility to mold A1 to suit solution and end-customer specific requirements gives the system partner an opportunity to create unique solutions offering competitive advantage.

Discussion Forum: useful information for all A1 developers

Aplicom has opened a discussion forum for A1 developers. The forum offers useful tips for development work and gives the possibility to discuss with other developers how they have solved certain issues. Everything does not need to be made from scratch! The developers can also request help from the Aplicom team through the forum.
