Aplicom's partner Zeekit has through the sales channel of Telenor started providing its electronic log book to Telenor's corporate customers. The launch was in the end of November and the first reactions to the package have been very positive. The large marketing efforts are taking place through newspapers, point of sale marketing material and Internet marketing. The efforts are in line with Telenor's view of the potential in the vehicle market and the cooperation with Zeekit is one project in this direction.

The ruggedness of A1 has now been tested and proved in use in a way, which leaves no doubt of A1's durability. Since March 2009 Stump Foratec AG has used Aplicom's A1 Trax with an IP65 protective cover in its drilling machine. The A1 has been mainly used in Switzerland and has operated in the height of 2500 meter. The same drilling machine was also transported to northern Sweden to take part in another drilling project. The back-end software provided by Meridian Data Systems GmbH gave position and other relevant information for Stump regarding the use of the drilling machine.

In addition to the environmental harshness of temperature and moisture the drilling machine also presents an extreme vibrational environment. When developing the products Aplicom tested A1 successfully in laboratory environment for sudden G-force of 30G and continuous 5G. Now, after the use in a drilling machine both the laboratory results as well as practical experience confirm the ruggedness of A1.

After the successful test Stump decided to equip more of their drilling equipment with Aplicom A1's.

Aplicom offers its drivers log keypad (DLKP) now also with customer specific prints. The DLKP is a three-button keypad to be used by the driver inside the vehicle, which can be used for example in differentiating between chargeable and non-chargeable trips. It can also be used for indicating when the driver is available for new jobs or whether he is on his way to a customer or at a customer location. Aplicom has welcomed more members to its sales team this year. Kenneth Udd and Juho Rajamäki have started and Saskia Kerkkänen returned from maternity leave. Sadly we are also losing one important member when Jouni Takala, who has worked for Aplicom since the company was founded, is retiring. We wish Jouni nice and relaxing days!
